I’m moving to a new flat, and have been ruthlessly waging war against the colossal amounts of Stuff, Nonsense and Useless Worldly Belongings in my possession. (have not seen my floor for four days — must become a monk after my PhD). things will be quietly manic for a few days.
NB: how, how have I accumulated 95kg of books in three years? the horrific experience of moving 95kg of books is enough to cow even the most rampant bibliophile into submission for a while.

Yes, but at least you’re not moving over the Atlantic. I recently shipped four large boxes of books from Arizona to London–as well as 20 other boxes. I had to shift them to the Post Office in a good 100 degree heat too. I’m not sure which suffered worse–my health or my wallet.
